Snow, music, and an invasion of Santas! There’s plenty going on in the five boroughs this weekend. Here’s my five things Friday for some of the biggest events of December 8 – 10.
Jingle Ball 2017 When I was growing up, Jingle Ball was the ticket to get. This year, Z100’s concert features performances by Taylor Swift, Ed Sheeran, The Chainsmokers, and probably some popstars I’ve never heard of because I’m old and out of touch. SantaCon It appears on my list, so if you’re ready to drink and dress as Santa, go for it. I won’t be participating this year (I’m not doing that alone), but I look forward to seeing some pictures! Check out some more info here. Voleyz, Voguez, Voyagez Louis Vuitton Exhibition, NYC I dreamed of owning a Louis Vuitton bag, and you probably did too. Louis Vuitton is currently hosting an exhibition detailing the House of Louis Vuitton from 1854 to today. You’ll see some stunning pieces of the past, and portraits of the company’s founders and future. Admission is free (yay!), but you have to book your time in advance. Dyker Heights Christmas Lights Another list item is at the height of its popularity right now. Dyker Heights is a neighborhood in South Brooklyn where you can check out over-the-top Christmas lights. Guided tours are available, but you can get in the festive spirit on your own for free. The Snowstorm! Sure, it’s only going to be a few inches, but it’s your first chance to see some snow this winter. Be safe out there!
